 Hi lovelies! This is going to be where I do research on different videos for my genre which is Pop jazz, and bedroom pop!

Song: From The Start - Laufey

Cams.

Pan: Panning over the setting to the singer.

Pan: the camera continuously pans to follow the singers movement.

Tracking shot: Tracking the singer walk from place to place as she dances.

Zoom out: The camera zooms out as the singer starts to walk around more.

Point of view shot: The camera follows the arrow through each room from the view of the prop.

Zoom in: This is to focus more on the singer as she moves from place.

High angle: She lays on a bed when singing about being hopeless and the camera stays at an angle where she is shown below eye level.

Medium long shots and close up shots are frequent throughout the video when she is dancing and moving.

Editing

Action match: The singer gets up in one location, as she gets up it is transitioned into a new location, still zooming out

eye-line match: Throughout the video the camera tracks her eye-line

Action match: The singer walks behind a wall and the camera cuts to her walking out. still tracking her

Sound.

A piano is played through new lyrics to show a change in emotion. More dramatically played through chorus.

A guitar is played lowly throughout the song for the main music.

Maracas are shaken thought the song as-well to keep a cool bossa nova beat.

There is no sound other then the initial music played.

Mis En Scene

Mirrors and bedroom setting.

Heart bow and Arrow.

Flowy dress, cool toned light makeup.

Bright white lighting throughout video. Yet near the end before the resolution in the song she is shown in lighting that seems to be low and blue, with bars that symbolize blinds.

The singer is doing contemporary dancing to go with the words in the video.

Cams

Tracking shot: Throughout the video the singer is seen walking through settings as the camera tracks her

Pan: the camera pans to track her movement walking across a street.

Zoom in: The camera zooms into the singers face from afar to show emotion.

Zoom out: The camera zooms out on a car to show a wider shot of the setting.

Wide shot: The outdoor setting is frequently shown throughout the video through a wide shot.

Close up: The singers face is shown at a close up view to show her smiling or pondering.

An establishing shot is shown of a giftshop to show the time of day and lighting around her.

Editing

The video has an overlay that seems to be glass as it reflects light.

Dissolves: A clip of her face slowly dissolves into a clip of her walking.

Action match: Many different clips show her from different angles walking in the same place.

Sound

Sound motif: the singer is shown in a casino in the beginning, this comes along with the background noise of people talking and coins clashing softly until the video cuts to black and the song starts playing.

Mis En Scene

The singer is seen in a light colored outfit with a coat on, the costume is comfortable and casual.

There are many different settings in this video, a constant setting we see in the beginning is a casino arcade setting, her walking in a parking garage, and outside in a neighbourhood. She is also seen walking across a street and through alleys.

A prop the video shows would be interesting lights the video cuts too they show a horse and a shoe made of lights, the video also shows two still cars that look vintage. She isnt seen handling anything but the joystick of a slot machine at the very end of the video.

The singer is wearing very light makeup in the video.

The lighting is outside lighting in sunny weather, sometimes cutting to her in a shadow.

Later in the video the lighting changes to night time in a city area with alot of yellow outdoor lights from surrounding stores aswell as the low light from a parking garage.

Cams. 

Establishing shot: Shows outside on a beach with cliffs to start the video.

Long shot: Shows a silhouette of the singer along with her on the beach with the camera inside a cave. as-well as her inside a large bedroom.

Panning: To show setting and the singers small movements in her hands.

This video seems to have a-lot of panning while in a close up shot mainly on the singers hands and face to show emphasis in her emotion.

Zoom out: the camera continuously zooms out as the singer stares into the sky

Zoom in: The camera zooms in from the long shot frequently to put emphasis on the singers face.

Long shot: This one was to show the singers pose on the bed, as she is staring out the window.

Close up: There is a close up of her hands and later on her face staring into what seems to be nothing.

Many close ups throughout the video to show the singers emotions and hand placement to symbolize her state of mind, as the song goes on her features become less tense and her movements more flowy.

Over the shoulder shot: This shows the singer pondering while she sings.

Tracking shot: As the singer walks around the beach the camera tracks her in motion. Also as she spins and dances the camera tracks her waist and hands.

Arial shot: This shot is of her on the bed and it shows her in a dream like state singing as she smiles.

Low angle: As the singer talks about pondering she is shown at a low angle. 

Editing

Cross cutting: The video constantly cuts between 3 scenes, one is of her in a bedroom, another of her at a beach, another of her in a field.

Eye line match: Through out the video the camera is centered at the singers eye level.

Cut away: The video often cuts to the singers hands to show her tenseness and symbolise emotion.

Jump cut: The videos are cut apart and constantly the videos alternate jumping from action to action, Or to a wider angle.

Sound

sound motif: In the beginning of the video a beach is shown and the sound of wind and waves crashing is heard before the music starts.

Mis En Scene

The singer is shown in a flowy light blue dress through each scene, with a bow in her hair.

The settings are a bedroom (primarily infront of the bed or by a window), a beach, and a grassy field and cliff.

The lighting is Gloomy and a dark grey throughout the outside setting, while the singer is in the bedroom she is shown in a natural lighting. Rarely in the video we can identify her as a silhouette in gloomy lighting.

The singer has light clean makeup.

The props the singer uses is primarily a bed, she lays and poses on the bed to match the emotion of the singing.
